Barbera d’Alba Superiore D.O.C.
Grapes Variety: Barbera Grapes from the Govone area collected at perfect maturation. The altitude is between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, and the territory is calcareous and siliceous.
Description: Our winemakers harvest Barbera grapes late in order to obtain an higher sugar levels to produce heavier, more fruit forward wines. Furthermore they have worked hard in order to reduce the production yield through pruning to create a wine with a high intense aroma. Our Barbera d'Alba is red ruby in colour with an intense fruity aroma that recalls red fruits like strawberries and blackberries.
It ages one year in oak barrels, it is further refined for another year in French barrique and six months in bottles in order to gain the distinct and strong oak flavour.
Alcoholic content: Our Barbera d'Alba 2012 has a 14 % alcoholic content.
Best Paired: Refined meat dishes and aged cheeses.
Serving Temperature: Open an hour before serving at 16-18 °C.
